What was a month was reduced to merely days.
And then mere hours. Cue in frantic last minute baju buys and sweaty Geylang jams. Cue in handhphone inboxes full of thoughtful festive greetings. Cue in Raihan failing miserably in concocting equally festive replies. Cue in exhaustion sprinkled with excitement. Cue in Azim and Raihan stuffing face with ayam percik at five in the morning.
Then, before you know it, it was the First Day of Syawal yesterday.
So, we, Azim and Raihan, would like to wish everyone a hearty Eid Mubarak!
Yes, from our hardly-festive, insanely-messy and remotely-ready little home. Yes, Phatt says hi too. Yes, for the sheer benefit of everyone who didn't know till yesterday (which was surprisingly many, judging from the barrage of questions from a bevy of relatives we had to answer yesterday), we really really are
