me still down and out. wanna call up my girlfriends and have them drop by for a little tete-a-tete, they used to always do that when I was in Ngee Ann Poly coz NUS is just a few bus stops away from my place....but i can't think of anyone i'd REALLY like to talk to at the moment. No one seems to appeal to me. i think it's different now for all of us. we've really all moved on. or maybe it's just me.i've moved on. amongst all of them, i was the first one to finish with my education coz i went to poly and they all stayed in JC and subsequently, NUS, NTU or NIE. Even the few went to poly too and graduated at the same time as me, found that they didn't really want to work with what they studied for and enrolled themselves in NIE. Oh no...I cannot be a teacher. Not with my short-temper and limited patience. Not with my little tolerance for children aged over 8 and under 13. i mean, i know i would not be able to tolerate myself at those ages...i KNOW the infantile things i did back then. thinking about them now makes me cringe. so now, as i said, i graduated first thus i started working first. i became an adult first. Starting off in Mediacorp, real time demands aplenty so i had to grow up quickly. i think i was shoved into adulthood. it kinda sucks and it's really lonely out here. the few times i actually met up with my galpals from NUS, the ones i was REALLY close to, our time was spent roaming from shop to shop, talking about (not buying) clothes they saw here and there, clubbing, campus life and sometimes, the tutorials they missed and stuff like that. i felt kinda left out. no, i don't regret not staying in JC and then heading to NUS, like them. really.it's just that what they are griping about are really nothing. i'm already worrying about CPF, insurance payments, my career, my mobile phone bills, my credit card bills, helping my mom with the household bills and soon, my wedding and then married life. The latter won't really be a worry coz Azim and I don't intend to have kids until maybe 5 or 6 years later. But it's just so different. And the people I know from my working life are either already full-fledged adults or just weird people (like the ones from Mediacorp) or I just NEVER agree with them (like the ones from Gucci). Oh....yeah....i had close girlfriends from Ritz-Carlton too...but they are probably not in the country. Two of them flying SIA. Two with JAL. All four always trying to get me when I'm really busy or with Azim and when I'm not, they're either away, jet-lagged, REALLY tired,on standby or with their boyfriends. But it's the people I am closest to from my Crescent days that i yearn to spend quality girl talk with. But they're in a whole other phase from me. Yeah, i'll still met up with them....sometime later. i just have to shift my mindset a bit.
